Who is Egg Planet?
Egg Planet bills themselves as the “unofficial band of the Green Party of Colorado,” the band was recently featured at a Cindy Shehan benefit at the Mercury Café and a Green Party benefit at Quixote’s True Blue. Founding members Kevin Alumbaugh and Scott Zulauf are active members of the Green Party and are working to promote progressive politics and address the two-party dictatorship through their music.
Quoting Kevin Alumbaugh, “We hope we can strike a nerve with our audience through great music and at the same time deliver a message that will energize them to become active and take their country back.”

What to expect at an Egg Planet Show
Besides great tunes, socially conscious lyrics, and great musicianship, an Egg Planet show features video interaction, poignant audio samples, and awesome percussion fusillades. Several different themes permeate the show and are presented and explored through music and multi-media interaction. These themes include war, the environment, social injustice, religion, and media monopolization. Don’t worry, there is enough twisted humor, theater of the absurd, and great music to soften the blow of these heavy subjects and the overall message is one of empowerment for change. One thing is certain; an Egg Planet show is a unique experience unlike any other.
